Treat those little feet to this slip-on from Robeez. The super-soft upper features fun overlays that create a sweet dog motif. The elasticized collar and pull-tab make it easy to get dressed, while breathable leather linings and a flexible outsole are specially designed for developing feet.
My 14 month old loves these shoes. It is his only pair that he will actually try to put on by himself and let me put on him easily. He has very wide feet and these shoes fit him just fine. The puppy faces are very cute, and we get many compliments on the shoes from other people. These were actually the first pair of shoes that my son walked in, and they do not impede his walking at all even those he is quite a bit clumsy with and without shoes. The leather soles are tough and thick enough so that we do not have to worry about him getting thorns or splinters in his delicate feet. When the shoes get dirty, I throw them in the washing machine, and they come out looking like new. I am so glad that I bought these shoes; they are like moccasins and are great for toddlers and babies.
Every time my baby sees his shoes he gets very excited and makes the baby sign for dog. They are nice and soft on the bottom - which the daycare likes. (They don't like the kids to wear the hard rubber shoes in the center to prevent the kids from hurting one another.) My only complaint is that when my boy wears them for long periods he gets elastic marks on his feet - which worries me. He doesn't act uncomfortable and loves them. He is very chubby - so this may not be a problem for most people- and even his socks sometimes leave marks on him. (The only soft shoes I have tried that do not leave marks on him are the Smaller by See Kai Run Infant/Toddler Langston Sneaker.) However, my boy loves these shoes so much that I switch between the two so he can still wear his favorite shoes. Also, this was an incredible bargain compared to the others Robeez I have bought at Nordstrom and the Stride Rite store. I will likely replace these with a larger pair when it becomes necessary.
This is the second pair of Robeez shoes I have purchased as my son outgrew the first pair. I loved the first pair which was the style with the frog prince on them. They were great. The Hounds, however, have been a disappointment. I've used them less than a month and they are already starting to rip. For the price, they should last a great deal longer. Also, the elastic is basically a band of uncovered elastic that dig into my son's foot if he has thinner socks on. The shoes are a bit big so I would be afraid to see how much of a mark the elastic would leave if he had bigger feet. They are cute, but poorly designe
